Our team is in charge of making a wide range of products available to Bank of Georgia’s customers via the web while also providing a best-in-class experience.


As a Web Development Engineer, you will be in a team with the Product Owner, Designer, Tester, Solution Architect and have daily interactions with Back-end Developers, UX researchers, UX designers, etc. The team’s goal is to deliver a meaningful increment throughout a sprint and improve customer experience. It is also responsible for creating a strategy for the product and its roadmap, alongside stakeholders.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Plan, develop and deliver high-quality increments alongside teammates for a product;

  • Analyze and break features down into tasks to manage their priorities and deadlines;

  • Design a system to match the existing architecture and improve it to accommodate changing demands and requirements;

  • Build design components to support multiple projects;

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and integrations points;

  • Maintain existing software, improve quality and keep up with technological advancements;

  • Participate in code reviews;

  • Present technical ideas and solutions to a group of peers.

 What you have:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in Web Development.

  • Strong understanding of core JavaScript concepts (ES6 or later preferred).

  • Solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.

  • Experience building responsive web applications.

  • Experience in Node.js for backend development and MongoDB as a database.

  • Familiarity with Git for version control.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

What will be a plus:

  • Experience using a modern JavaScript framework or library such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

  • Exposure to testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha for writing unit and integration tests.

  • Experience with Docker.

  • Experience with Web Components, LitElement, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates.

  • Knowledge of Swagger, Postman and GraphQL
