BOG Asset Management is hiring a Valuation Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily and periodic valuation of financial instruments held by investment and pension funds managed by BOG Asset Management;

  • Calculate and review the fair value of fixed-income securities, equities, deposits, loans, derivatives, and other financial instruments;

  • Obtain, validate, and analyze market data, including prices, yield curves, interest rates, credit spreads, foreign exchange rates, and other valuation inputs;

  • Apply appropriate valuation methodologies and models for financial instruments for which observable market prices are not readily available;

  • Review pricing information received from external pricing sources, counterparties, brokers, and other market data providers;

  • Identify and investigate material price movements, valuation discrepancies, and unusual changes in portfolio values;

  • Perform independent price verification and reconcile valuation results with relevant internal and external sources;

  • Support the calculation and review of fund Net Asset Value (NAV) and ensure that securities are valued in accordance with applicable valuation policies;

  • Maintain appropriate documentation of valuation methodologies, assumptions, market inputs, and valuation decisions;

  • Participate in the development, review, and improvement of valuation policies, procedures, methodologies, and internal controls;

  • Support the preparation of valuation-related reports for management, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders;

  • Ensure that valuation processes comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and relevant accounting and valuation standards.



Qualification Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or another relevant field.

Work Experience: Relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, commercial banking, financial analysis, valuation, risk management, audit, or a related financial field will be considered an advantage.



Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good understanding of financial markets and financial instruments, particularly fixed-income securities;

  • Understanding of valuation principles and fair-value measurement;

  • Understanding of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation and investment fund valuation principles will be considered an advantage;

  • Knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 9 and IFRS 13, will be considered an advantage;

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills;

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;

  • Ability to independently analyze problems and develop well-supported conclusions;

  • Good command of English;

  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or other financial market data platforms will be considered an advantage;

  • Progress toward or completion of professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, or FRM will be considered an advantage.
