Principal Operations Analyst

Position Overview

We are looking for a Principal Operations Analyst to join the Operations Analysis & Reporting Unit and contribute to building a bank-wide, data-driven view of key operational functions. The role focuses on analyzing operational and transactional activities that shape the Bank's processing efficiency, client experience and risk visibility. This position is ideal for analytical professional seeking exposure to real banking processes, ownership of high-impact analytics, and the opportunity to directly influence operational performance and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of the Bank's operational functions, including credit administration, collateral valuation, client onboarding, and cross-border payment processing, applying advanced predictive analytics and workload forecasting to identify process delays and deliver strategic, data-driven recommendations

• Design, develop and maintain real-time visibility dashboards to track KPIs, productivity, SLA compliance, and operational performance at both departmental and individual levels

• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across operational datasets, establishing data governance standards

• Lead collaboration with the Data Analytics team on the development and integration of machine learning models into operational processes, and drive initiatives to automate and streamline workflows

• Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights and present results to senior management and key stakeholders

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts within the team

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for operational excellence

Qualifications & Experience

• Educational background in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field (Master's degree preferred)

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operational analytics, data processing, BI, or process intelligence, preferably in the banking or financial services sector

• Strong working knowledge of Excel; advanced proficiency in Power BI and SQL is required

• Experience with statistical analysis tools and methodologies

• Proven track record of leading analytical projects and delivering measurable business impact
