Linux System Administrator

JSC Bank of Georgia is seeking for a highly qualified professional to join as ITI (IT Infrastructure) Linux System Administrator.

Position Purpose:

ITI Linux System Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the IT infrastructure; also, to collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. He/she will be a member of a service oriented team, performing administration, maintenance and customization of Linux platforms and associated software products, recommend improvements to those platforms. 

Responsibilities:

·      Install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems;

·      Analyze and resolve problems, associated with the operating system applications and software;

·      Oversee and apply appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity;

·      Monitor systems performance and ensure compliance with security standards;

·      Collect and review system data for capacity planning purposes;

·      Test different sets of hardware and software configuration to achieve maximum stability and hardware efficiency;

·      Create and run load-test scenarios on the systems and platforms;

·      Ability to build and monitor services on production servers;

Qualifications:

·      Strong, fundamental knowledge of Linux based OS (CentOS, RHEL);

·      Experience with shell scripting;

·      Experience working in a HA (load balancing, clusters) environment;

·      Strong technical background: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, NLB, HAProxy, Nginx, Apache;

·      Experience with JBoss/Tomcat administration and troubleshooting is a plus;

·  Experience with Cloud Services and Automation is a plus;

·      Experience building and patching a Linux or Unix Servers;

·      Experience with VMware vCenter Administration;

·      Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects;

·      2+ years relevant job experience as Linux Administrator;

·      Ability to plan and analyze workload in the scopes of existing systems and resources;

·      Ability to solve problems quickly;

·      Analytical thinking;

·      Ability to modify the system to meet new security requirements;

·      Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to communicate in Georgian and English languages;

·      Good communication and interpersonal skills;
