Bank of Georgia announces a vacancy for the position of IFRS Advisory Manager in Finance Department.


The main purpose of the role is to ensure the full compliance of the Group's financial statements with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The position involves analyzing complex transactions, preparing recommendations for management, and leading the implementation process for new standards. The ideal candidate will be an expert with in-depth knowledge of IFRS and relevant practical experience.


Key Functions:

  • Ensuring and monitoring the compliance of the financial statements of the Bank of Georgia Group and its subsidiaries with IFRS standards.

  • Providing consultations on issues related to IFRS during the formation of complex transactions, preparing relevant recommendations for management, drafting technical memorandums, and communicating with external auditors on these matters.

  • Developing IFRS accounting policies and preparing internal guidelines.

  • Studying, assessing, and ensuring the implementation of new International Financial Reporting Standards and their expected financial impact within the Group and its subsidiaries.


Qualifications:

Education: Higher education, preferably in a technical field; ACCA qualification is desirable.

Work Experience:

  • Significant experience in audit or financial reporting is required.

  • Experience in the banking sector and the practical application of IFRS will be considered an advantage.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of IFRS standards.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Fluency in the English language.

  • Knowledge of banking products and processes is desirable.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
