JSC Bank of Georgia, the leading Georgian universal bank, is recruiting Database Administrator to join its’ successful IT Department team.
Responsibilities:
Participates in client/project meeting(s) for highly complex project definition, needs assessment and design review. Evaluates the needs and requirements of the users and provides technical expertise in the development of technical, structural and organizational specifications. Determine appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.
Designs, develops and integrates highly complex database systems for users/clients.
Creates, documents and implements standards and/or complex modeling to monitor and enhance the capacity and performance of the database. Codes complex programs and derives logical processes on technical platforms.
Support multiple databases.
Install, patch and configure Oracle Database / Grid Infrastructure
Upgrade database to current version of Oracle
Design and implement a backup & recovery system
Implement Oracle failover technology
Export / Import
Oracle Cloud Control
Tune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL
Monitoring Databases
Discovering / Configuring targets
Troubleshooting complex problems
Typical Education & Experience, Required Skills and Education:
experience with Oracle Database (19c, 21c) Architecture and database infrastructure design
Experience as an Oracle (19c, 21c) Database administrator including the management, maintenance, configuration and optimization.
Experience using Oracle ASM for database storage
Experience with PostgreSQL Architecture and database infrastructure design, High Availability, Load Balancing, and Replication
experience in MongoDB administration (including sharded cluster architecture)
Ability and experience with the development of processes and procedures to standardize Database installations and configuration
Experience automating, scripting and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy utilizing Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools
experience in the art of performance tuning, utilizing OEM or third party tools to finely tune the databases.
Comprehensive understanding of high-availability solutions for the database and middleware such as Real Application Cluster and Active Data Guard.
Experience with capacity planning, maintenance, and optimization of the database environments
Comprehensive understanding of Oracle backup methodologies, their implementation via GUI as well as scripts.
Experience with Solaris and Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills
Ability to work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Can-do attitude, proactive and resourceful.
· Minimum of 4 years of experience with managing and supporting Oracle databases in Unix environments and a total of 6+ years in IT.
· The candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and work seamlessly in a team environment as well as independently.
Preferred Skills and Education:
Oracle OCP or OCM Certification
Experience with the Exadata platform to include the deployment of databases, monitoring, Configuration and performance tuning of the platform
Experience in PostgreSQL administration
Experience in MongoDB Cluster administration
Experience in SQL Server Database administration
Experience with Cloud computing platforms such as Amazon AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Experience in disk array storage solutions preferably NetApp and Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance
Experience in Oracle Audit Vault, Database Firewall
Write Stored procedures, packages, triggers & functions to perform complex functions.
