The Internal Audit Department of JSC "Bank of Georgia" is announcing a vacancy for the position of Compliance Auditor in the Compliance Audit Division. The successful candidate will, together with members of the Internal Audit team, participate in planned audit engagements in the field of Compliance within the Bank and its group entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research on planned projects related to compliance with the regulatory framework of the financial sector (including AML/CFT legislation), which includes studying internal procedures and researching international best practices.
Execute and document audit work in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the department's internal policies/procedures.
Study the processes under review through interviews and walkthroughs.
Test the operational effectiveness of individual risks and controls within the audited process.
Formulate and document findings identified during the audit process.
Perform various tasks within the scope of an audit project.
Support the Operational, IT, and Financial Audit divisions in the identification and testing of compliance/legal risks and controls for specific audits.
Participate in the development of risk indicators for specific audit areas.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Law.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Compliance, and/or Audit, and/or Legal fields, and/or AML, or another relevant position in the financial sector.
Knowledge and Skills:
Basic knowledge of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
Knowledge of core banking business processes.
In-depth knowledge of Georgian legislation (especially normative acts regulating banking activities) and the ability to interpret and apply them in practice.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Innovative, analytical, and logical thinking; strong organizational skills.
General knowledge of the company’s relevant products and processes.
Ability to gather and analyze data required to maintain a continuous workflow.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Languages:
Georgian - Fluent (written and spoken).
English - Desirable.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office.
