Business Analyst [Domain: Data]

The Bank of Georgia, IT & Data Platforms Tribe - Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI CoE) is seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in SQL scripting, data modeling, and business intelligence to drive the development of enterprise-wide reporting solutions. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives at the intersection of business analysis and data engineering, ensuring high-quality data solutions that empower decision-making across the organization. As part of the BI CoE, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to ensure the availability of high-quality, scalable, and insightful reporting solutions. You will also help define best practices for reporting, data governance, and dashboard development across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable BI solutions.

• Ensure BI solutions align with business goals and provide actionable insights for users at all levels.

• Work with data engineers and architects to design and optimize data models that support reporting and analytics.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other analytical teams across the organization to help them build their own reports using BI tools.

• Develop and maintain best practices, templates, and documentation for self-service reporting.

• Ensure that all analytical teams adhere to data governance, security, and quality standards when building reports.

• Ensure reports and dashboards adhere to data governance policies, including data accuracy, metadata management, and access control.

• Monitor and optimize reporting performance, ensuring fast load times and efficient data processing.

• Work with IT and security teams to enforce data access policies and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

• Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure reporting solutions meet business needs.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of SQL queries, reporting logic, data dictionaries, and user guides.

• Provide training and support for business users adopting new reporting solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or a related role.

• Strong background in SQL development, data modeling, and report building.

• Experience supporting enterprise-wide BI reporting and analytics initiatives.

• Advanced SQL skills (PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) for building and optimizing queries.

• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau.

• Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.

• Knowledge of cloud-based BI platforms is a plus.

• Ability to analyze complex datasets and provide actionable insights.

• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data security principles.

• Strong ability to bridge the gap between business users and technical teams.

• Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills.
